Froch - End Of Lineage
I personally love the concept on this one. Where else do you become recognized to the world than through the phone book. You become someone, a citizen, known. My concept was to declare this is the end of this lineage. The last of this last name.
To be honest with myself, this one played out better in my mind than it did in pixels. The initial shot was done via extension tubes on my 50mm. Although I loved the result of the selective focus, it didn't play well enough for me to believe it...I opted to reshoot, partially because I wanted to recompose, and partially to see if I could replicate selective focus through photoshop and gauss blur. The end result is hack, at best...I was very disappointed with the final result. I couldn't quite get a grip on the proper opacity and hardness of the brush to make the blur believable.
