Froch - Kailee and Her Colors
For this challenge, I originally had hoped to photograph Kailee and insert her image onto a textured surface, similar to the test image. A new process that I learned, using the displacement filter. It's a very cool effect.
Unfortunately for the final, we were a bit rushed, in trying to make schedules work. I have an opportunity to shoot a friends dress design in the next week or so, so Kailee and I took the opportunity to practice a bit with small flashes and modifiers. I knew that I wanted to overexpose her a bit, while still leaving the hue in her hair. That was less done in the camera but more in post via layer adjustments, another new process I learned this past week.
All in all, I love the image of Kailee. Her expression and body language. It's a bit soft in focus, but I think it works. But with regard to the challenge, it's not a strong entry.
